Are you turning off the people you want to attract by living your best life? [Video]

Question: Is living your social media “best life” turning away perspective clients?

Is your best life ever giving people the wrong perception of who you really are?

So you just get unnoticed and stuck in that big scroll by  ’cause you lost your true identity?

Food for thought, for sure!

Watch this video to see how living your best life can be harming your business:

What I see happening— and granted obviously I’m a different generation— is a lot of people to put forth their best life ever by manufacturing concocted situations that represent freedom, luxury, travel, all with a perfect blowout and cute thing while gallivanted on a remote beach to show how cool they want you to believe how they are.

Maybe not that extreme, but you’ve seen these lusty-worthy staged slice of life imagery.

So what happens is they `create this fictitious best life ever.

And people see that. People smell that.

People know that it’s not authentic, and they don’t relate to you in the same way as if it was.

What’s super duper interesting is that big corporate brands want to be humanized.

The mega players  know that people don’t trust a big brand. They know that people see a big brand and they go and they try to be, they’re gonna sell them something. Right?

What big brands are doing is creating things that are more sort of, on the ground. They’re just more real, and they’re authentic, and they’re getting real people to do it.

The trend that converts is having a real identity.  Not being slick, and not being overly polished. But, being real.

Here’s the ironic and insane thing; by trying to portray living as your best life on social media, you’re actually doing the opposite of what companies with boat loads of money do.

Because they wanna look real. They wanna be human.

So you’re taking away your human factor by doing just that.

If this sparks a nerve, let me help you cut paste the noise and guide you to show up as your true self to attract your true audience, not the hanger ons and faux friends..

[00:00:19.07] Having people have the wrong perception of you, [00:00:23.04] and just getting unnoticed and getting stuck [00:00:27.06] in that big scroll by, ’cause you lost your identity. [00:00:33.00] So, anyway guys, I’m Sharon Haver. [00:00:34.05] I help other smart, talented and savvy entrepreneurs [00:00:37.04] stand out in a crowded market when they know [00:00:40.08] that expertise is not enough. [00:01:02.08] So, that’s over at authenticsuperstar.com. [00:01:07.02] So, for today’s topic is best life ever [00:01:10.04] and how you portray it. [00:01:13.03] So, what I see happens, and granted obviously [00:01:17.01] I’m a different generation, but [00:01:19.04] when a lot of people… [00:01:20.05] I’m just gonna move this back a tad, [00:01:24.07] and I can’t because it’s stuck on a candle. [00:01:27.06] Anyway, what happens is a lot of people [00:01:30.08] always want to put forth their best life ever. [00:01:33.03] It’s like, oh, living my best life ever! [00:01:36.02] I’m doing my best life ever! [00:01:38.02] And for them it means going and having these [00:01:41.01] really slick polished photo shoots [00:01:45.05] to show jus how cool they are, how smart they are. [00:01:49.01] And it’s like… [00:01:49.09] [laughs] [00:01:53.04] Right? [00:01:55.03] And do you walk around in real life going… [00:01:57.00] [laughs] [00:01:59.03] Maybe not, but when you wanna get a really good photo [00:02:00.06] fake a laugh. [00:02:02.09] Anyway but, so what happens is they `create this [00:02:03.08] fictitious best life ever. [00:02:05.04] And people see that. [00:02:07.04] People smell that. [00:02:08.07] People know that you’re not being authentic, [00:02:12.04] and they don’t relate to you in the same way. [00:02:14.07] But, what’s super duper interesting [00:02:17.02] is that big brands, they want to be humanized. [00:02:21.04] They know that people don’t trust a big brand. [00:02:24.04] They know that people see a big brand [00:02:27.00] and they go and they try to be, [00:02:28.06] they’re gonna sell them something. [00:02:30.06] Right? [00:02:31.04] They’re just gonna sell them something. [00:02:32.02] They have a product. [00:02:33.02] So, what big brands are doing [00:02:34.07] is they’re going out there and they’re creating things [00:02:37.01] that are more sort of, on the ground. [00:02:40.06] They’re just more real, and they’re authentic, [00:02:43.04] and they’re getting real people to do it. [00:02:45.04] And this trend has been going on for, [00:02:47.01] I wanna say, probably at least seventeen eighteen years [00:02:51.04] that I know of but, it’s more so now [00:02:55.02] on having a real identity. [00:02:58.01] And not being slick, and not being overly polished. [00:03:02.07] But, being real. [00:03:04.05] So, what’s happening is… [00:03:05.06] Let me get the light back on this. [00:03:06.09] You know when this Facebook live stuff [00:03:08.08] if you don’t tap it the light goes away. [00:03:11.01] So, what happens is then you get someone who’s [00:03:14.02] a smart, and a savvy business owner, [00:03:16.04] or a woman business owner, or an entrepreneur, [00:03:18.05] or a coach, a consultant, [00:03:20.09] and they wanna be just like those big brands. [00:03:25.07] They wanna show that they’re living their best life ever. [00:03:28.04] Right, so they’re doing these fancy slick photo shoots. [00:03:31.08] Sorry I’m on my sliding pillows again. [00:03:33.09] Their fancy slick photo shoots, they’re just taking away [00:03:37.03] all of their personality. [00:03:40.01] And here’s the ironic and insane thing. [00:03:42.05] By trying to portray living as your best life, [00:03:47.07] you’re actually doing the opposite [00:03:49.06] of what companies with boat loads of money do. [00:03:53.01] Because they wanna look real. [00:03:54.06] They wanna be human. [00:03:56.00] So you’re taking away your human factor by doing that. [00:03:59.01] And it’s ironic, and I understand why. [00:04:02.01] Because there’s a flow of things going on right now, [00:04:05.03] and people are seeing that. [00:04:06.09] And they’re seeing other business coaches [00:04:09.03] doing these slick photos. [00:04:11.07] Whoops, that light is getting funky. [00:04:14.07] But, hey! [00:04:15.08] It’s better to have the light getting funky [00:04:18.05] and being real, than pretending to be, [00:04:22.06] someone else in a studio set up of a faux kitchen [00:04:27.00] that you’re pretending to be yours, [00:04:28.08] and that you’re sipping your cup of coffee [00:04:31.02] and you’re looking so relaxed and adorable. [00:04:34.04] Because it’s not real. [00:04:36.00] It’s better to have the light go in and out [00:04:38.04] on a livestream than it is to do all this fake stuff. [00:04:42.01] So, as you go out there and you are portraying your… [00:04:45.03] The sun is moving, that’s why. [00:04:47.01] As you’re portraying your best life ever. [00:04:50.06] Is it your real life? [00:04:52.00] Because your real life is your best life ever! [00:04:54.08] Every day that you are on this earth, [00:04:57.02] every day that you are on this planet, [00:04:59.08] you should be grateful for everything that you have [00:05:03.06] you’re alive, right? [00:05:05.03] And that is your best day ever. [00:05:07.05] You know, it’s like I don’t have my dream this, [00:05:10.01] I don’t have my dream that. [00:05:11.09] Well, you know sometimes once you reach your dreams [00:05:15.03] you get to do other stuff and set other goals, [00:05:18.04] and different goals. [00:05:19.07] So, it’s that every best life ever really should be [00:05:22.08] more of a step to where you are in in your authenticity. [00:05:26.02] You should be a portrait of the best of your brand. [00:05:31.00] So that you are aspirational to other people [00:05:35.00] who wanna achieve what you really, [00:05:37.06] honestly, down deep inside are achieving. [00:05:42.00] Right, it makes sense doesn’t it? [00:05:44.01] So, by having these veneered, lacquered [00:05:46.04] fake ways of representing yourself, [00:05:48.06] you’re doing yourself a disservice [00:05:50.05] because you’re taking away from what people [00:05:54.00] really want to see. [00:05:56.00] And that is the real you. [00:05:58.03] And that’s exactly what I’m gonna help you do [00:06:00.07] in authenticsuperstar.com. [00:06:03.02] So, go over there. [00:06:04.03] It’s the free 5 day challenge. [00:06:05.07] I waived the $497 price. [00:06:08.07] You can get in there right now totally free. [00:06:10.07] So there’s nothing to lose, right? [00:06:13.08] Nothing to lose. [00:06:15.01] It’s all for the cost of email, [00:06:17.02] and you’ll probably, most likely, [00:06:20.03] I really bet my bottom dollar [00:06:22.06] will get something out of it. [00:06:24.04] As, how to position your brand, [00:06:26.00] how to set yourself up, [00:06:27.04] how to take your own photos, [00:06:28.08] which are more effective to attract who you want to attract. [00:06:32.08] Easier than dealing with these souped up photo shoots. [00:06:35.02] And I don’t say that off the cuff. [00:06:38.02] I was a stylist on big brand shoots for fifteen years. [00:06:41.05] I know what goes on behind the scenes [00:06:43.09] of a mega photo shoot. [00:06:45.01] Because I did them. [00:06:45.09] I styled everything from Vouge covers, [00:06:48.04] to polyester sweats, looking so good [00:06:50.02] that a human would actually wanna be seen in them. [00:06:52.08] And, I don’t use this stuff. [00:06:55.03] Celebrities don’t do all that big fancy stuff. [00:06:58.01] The celebrities wanna take away their veneer [00:07:00.07] of being an actor, and coming across real on social media. [00:07:04.06] Big brands wanna be real on social media. [00:07:07.05] So, you know let all those other people [00:07:09.09] who wanna create their faux existences [00:07:11.09] in their branding shoots. [00:07:14.01] And you just be a person who stands out as unique. [00:07:17.04] We are all our own special snowflakes. [00:07:19.06] I don’t care what anyone says. [00:07:21.02] So honor it. [00:07:22.04] Honor who you are and let people meet you where you are. [00:07:26.08] And meet people where they are. [00:07:29.01] Do it authentically honestly. [00:07:30.09] But also, what’s really key is [00:07:33.03] do it with the set up that you get from professional shoots. [00:07:37.05] That you get from professional art direction. [00:07:40.02] That you get from all that slick stuff. [00:07:43.02] And take it and turn around to be you, [00:07:47.02] real, everyday so you don’t look like [00:07:50.05] a deer in the headlights. [00:07:51.06] Right? [00:07:52.04] That will be showing your best life. [00:07:54.09] Not some scroll by Instagram thing that no one believes. [00:07:59.09] That cost you a shit ton of money to do. [00:08:05.03] That actually gave you stress and overwhelmed you to set up. [00:08:10.05] And everyone knows it’s fake. [00:08:12.00] If you wanna have those photos, cool. [00:08:13.05] Do it 20% of the time for your ego. [00:08:16.02] If you wanna have it for something specific, cool do that. [00:08:18.09] But, the other 80% just be a nice normal human being. [00:08:21.08] But, know how to set yourself up. [00:08:23.03] Know how to position yourself. [00:08:25.00] And know how to get absolutely your message across, [00:08:28.08] and not some sanitized white washed message [00:08:32.00] that some branding person slicked on over you that’s fake. [00:08:36.09] Anyway guys I will see you over at authenticsuperstar.com. [00:08:42.08] I’m just trying out this new spot in my house. [00:08:44.06] What I’m trying to do here is, I’m trying out [00:08:47.04] different spots in my house every day. [00:08:50.07] On the street or where ever I go [00:08:52.07] so that I have things that are easier to set up. [00:08:55.01] We have lights set up to create my real office into a studio [00:08:59.09] but, frankly I don’t wanna sit under those hot lights. [00:09:02.06] I’d rather just find easier places to go to [00:09:04.08] and that’s what all this experiment is about. [00:09:08.03] So, anyway. [00:09:09.02] Guys, just be real. [00:09:10.07] I’m gonna do this. [00:09:11.08] I’m providing value every day. [00:09:13.04] Come on in I’m gonna be live a lot in the next [00:09:16.08] few days, weeks. [00:09:17.09] So, stay tuned if you don’t follow me now, [00:09:20.00] follow me so you don’t miss anything. [00:09:21.04] Turn on that alert button, the notice button, [00:09:23.02] whatever they call it. [00:09:24.04] And put your comments below. [00:09:25.09] And let me know what you think. [00:09:27.01] ‘Cause living you best life ever [00:09:29.02] is the life you have right now, today, ’cause you’re alive. [00:09:33.00] And share that with others. [00:09:34.04] And be happy. [00:09:35.03] And learn from you mistakes and move to the next job, [00:09:39.03] the next project, the next day. [00:09:41.02] You’ll always be better. [00:09:43.01] Life is cumulative. [00:09:45.00] What happened to you before builds upon [00:09:46.09] being your best life ever as you go. [00:09:49.08] That’s the purpose of all this. [00:09:51.01] Okay guys. [00:09:51.09] [kiss sound] Bye! [00:09:52.07]
