Attraction Marketing: How to align yourself with your best clients [Video]

We're All Unique. How to Attract Exactly Who You Want to Attract

If you feel that you are not being magnetic to the kind of clients, followers, and tribe you want, attraction marketing may really help you out.

Through the years I’ve heard so small business owners and service providers getting nutty about attraction and making such a big deal over something that is actually pretty simple.

Here’s why…

Attraction marketing or attraction branding is a really basic premise: Birds of a feather flock together.

If you want to be relevant and believable for the audience that you’re trying to reach, then you have to walk the walk and look the part.

Perception is everything…

That doesn’t mean that you need to be wearing crazy expensive clothes while driving in a Rolls Royce holding on to your diamond tiara, if that’s not your thing.

Attraction marketing is about being attractive to those you want to help so you can get their attention to actually help them.

What it means is just being authentic in who you really are while keeping it a tad aspirational to the audience you want to attract.

How hard is this?

Not hard at all. Since if you did really do what you professed to do, your authenticity would be a no-brainer and be super natural to do.

What it implies…

When you’re setting yourself up for a photo or video, you need to consider all the visual elements and how they play into the big picture.

Consider the actual environment of where you are (including what’s behind you), what you’re wearing, and how it relates to your general lifestyle as all of this is conveyed in a snap, a total snap.

And that snap is in your photo.

  • That photo is what sets people’s impression up about you.
  • That photo is what people form an opinion about you in one tenth of second online

Therefore, if you want to set yourself up to attract people who want to hear what you’re saying so you can build the rapport for them to know, like, and trust you, it’s critical to make that connection almost instantaneously.

And that comes from knowing how to show up and how to set yourself up.

What about them?

Now being authentic is not always the easiest thing because being authentic might mean just coming on camera and being real.

You might have people who don’t like you– that’s cool. Because you’re not out there to convince the people who don’t like you to like you.

You’re out there to have the people who like you love you and want to be a part of your world.

You just gotta show up like you mean it and you’re going to attract exactly the kind of people you want to attract.

So that’s it… you gotta draw a line in the sand as to who your client is, who they’re not, who you want to be attracted to, attracted by. And who you don’t!  It’s really simple.

How can you implement this?

Perception is the name of the game.

What people assume about you and the labels they place on you can easily be manipulated.

Now, I’m not saying you should fake it or be deceiving at all. What I am suggesting is that you and your brand align with the message you want to share.

Join me at AuthenticSuperstar.com, and I’ll show you the way.

See you there!

[00:00:00.02]
Hello hello from Soho in New York City.

[00:00:05.04]
Anywho, I wanted to
come in and talk to you

[00:00:08.05]
about attraction marketing and

[00:00:11.08]
really kind of simplify it for you,

[00:00:13.07]
because sometimes people get like,

[00:00:15.01]
all nutty over this and
make such a big deal.

[00:00:17.04]
And they have tremendous
business coaches and programs

[00:00:21.05]
and things that really
teach attraction marketing,

[00:00:24.00]
but it’s actually pretty simple.

[00:00:26.00]
So, if you’re new to me,
my name is Sharon Haver

[00:00:28.03]
and I help other talented,
smart, savvy entrepreneurs

[00:00:31.00]
who realize you need
more than expertise to

[00:00:33.07]
stand out in a crowded market.

[00:00:37.05]
So, oh, before I forget,

[00:00:40.05]
go over to my free challenge
at authenticsuperstar.com

[00:00:43.03]
and I’ll take all this stuff further

[00:00:44.08]
and I’ll really help you solidify it.

[00:00:47.00]
But anyway, about attraction marketing

[00:00:49.07]
or attraction branding. So,
it’s a really basic premise.

[00:00:55.06]
Like meets like, and birds
of a feather fly together.

[00:00:59.08]
So, if you want to be relevant,

[00:01:03.08]
if you want to be
believable to the audience

[00:01:06.08]
that you’re trying to get,

[00:01:09.02]
that you maybe want to elevate to,

[00:01:11.01]
or go to the next level with,
then you have to kind of

[00:01:14.05]
walk the walk and look the part.

[00:01:17.03]
So that doesn’t mean
you need to be wearing

[00:01:19.07]
crazy expensive clothes or be having,

[00:01:22.01]
you know, living with 12
Ferraris and 16 Teslas behind you

[00:01:27.05]
with a Rolls Royce and your
diamond tiara, not at all.

[00:01:31.08]
What it means is just being
authentic in who you are.

[00:01:35.02]
Authentic in showing up in who you are,

[00:01:37.09]
and if you did really do
what you professed to do,

[00:01:42.03]
it would be a no-brainer, super natural.

[00:01:45.05]
So let me tell you something
that’s kind of interesting.

[00:01:48.01]
I was scrolling around on
Instagram the other day

[00:01:52.00]
and I was looking at somebody’s feed

[00:01:54.07]
who said she was an 8
figure business coach.

[00:01:58.01]
8. Not 6, not 7, but an
8 figure business coach.

[00:02:02.04]
Like, hmm, okay, you
know that’s interesting.

[00:02:05.09]
And then she’d doing this outfit thing,

[00:02:07.09]
do you like my outfit,
and she mentions the brand

[00:02:10.07]
of what she’s wearing.

[00:02:12.03]
And I was a stylist for 15
years, I don’t know everything,

[00:02:16.06]
but I know a lot, and I know
I never heard about that.

[00:02:19.06]
It was some kind of, I don’t know,

[00:02:21.04]
weird sort of off-price thing
you could get on Alibaba.

[00:02:27.02]
And I looked it up and
it was like, maybe $129.

[00:02:32.09]
And it was polyester, and now okay guys,

[00:02:36.02]
this is a Zara dress,
sometimes I wear Zara,

[00:02:37.07]
sometimes I wear good stuff,

[00:02:39.03]
but it’s not cheap, you
know ‘cheap cheap cheap’

[00:02:42.02]
in the quotes, where it
looks like an Alibaba dress.

[00:02:45.06]
It’s just, it’s cool, it’s
a summer dress and I like it

[00:02:47.06]
and by the way you guys,
for the summer you can find

[00:02:49.09]
lots of cool thing in Zara,

[00:02:51.02]
mixed in with some designer stuff,

[00:02:53.01]
like it just came from Paul Smith.

[00:02:54.07]
You know, you jouj it
up, you jouj it down,

[00:02:57.02]
that’s not the point. The
point is, if you’re trying

[00:02:59.08]
to say that you are an 8
figure coach and you’re wearing

[00:03:04.03]
something that looks really, really flimsy

[00:03:08.04]
and you’re wearing kind of cheap shoes

[00:03:11.06]
and you’re bringing
attention to it, by asking,

[00:03:17.06]
it’s not going to be believable.

[00:03:19.08]
So at this point on, I can
never believe her credibility,

[00:03:23.02]
because if she really did make 8 figures,

[00:03:27.00]
then what would happen is

[00:03:28.02]
she would be wearing better clothes,

[00:03:30.01]
or she would hire someone to
help her find better clothes,

[00:03:33.05]
or she would just know
better at that point.

[00:03:35.07]
Because as you earn more in your life,

[00:03:38.02]
you change your lifestyle a little bit.

[00:03:40.08]
I mean it may not be
anything very different from

[00:03:42.09]
what you did before, but you know,

[00:03:44.09]
maybe it’s an extra vacation,
maybe it’s an extra outfit,

[00:03:47.09]
maybe it’s like moving
to a different house or

[00:03:50.07]
getting nicer furniture or
adding something, whatever.

[00:03:54.04]
Or donating to charity, or
making that a part of it.

[00:03:58.02]
But whatever it is, you
level up in some way.

[00:04:03.06]
So attraction marketing
in that case would be that

[00:04:07.01]
she’s probably attracting people who are

[00:04:10.09]
such wannabes that they
actually believe it,

[00:04:15.06]
rather than people who have
actually gotten close to it,

[00:04:19.08]
or gotten to 7 figures,

[00:04:21.05]
you know or maybe half a million
or a million or whatever.

[00:04:25.04]
But if you’re making that much money,

[00:04:29.03]
you gotta look the part.

[00:04:30.08]
So that’s the whole thing
with attraction marketing,

[00:04:33.02]
I’m not coming in here to rag,

[00:04:34.06]
but it’s just I see so
many entrepreneurs and

[00:04:36.09]
you’re wearing like
really tight clothes and

[00:04:39.09]
you’ve got the suggestive poses and

[00:04:42.08]
you’re kind of in need of a
pair of shape wear underneath.

[00:04:46.03]
And you got boobs out, and
you’re just like butt popped up.

[00:04:51.01]
If you wanna do something like that,

[00:04:53.05]
you’re going to attract
people who want that,

[00:04:56.05]
and it’s usually not that much higher up.

[00:04:58.06]
Might work for Kardashians,
but not for the normal person.

[00:05:02.03]
And then if you’re someone
who’s business coach

[00:05:04.08]
and you’re setting yourself
up in a very stiff office

[00:05:08.03]
and you’re wearing old and dated clothes

[00:05:11.02]
and there’s no like, sparkle to you,

[00:05:14.05]
you’re going to attract more
bores, to put it mildly.

[00:05:18.04]
So when you’re setting yourself up

[00:05:20.02]
besides the setting of where you are,

[00:05:22.09]
besides what you’re wearing,

[00:05:25.06]
besides just your general lifestyle,

[00:05:29.01]
all of this is conveyed
in a snap, a total snap.

[00:05:33.08]
And that is in your photo.

[00:05:36.04]
That photo is what sets peoples’
impression up about you.

[00:05:40.04]
That photo is what people form an opinion

[00:05:43.01]
about you in 2 seconds,
just like that example

[00:05:46.08]
that I was telling you
about, about the dress.

[00:05:49.08]
I saw that, and I formed an opinion.

[00:05:53.00]
It’s not unnatural.

[00:05:54.06]
Going to let that truck go.

[00:05:57.04]
So, if you want to set yourself up

[00:06:01.01]
and attract people who
know, like, and trust you,

[00:06:03.08]
who attract people who wanna
hear what you’re saying,

[00:06:06.02]
and because they are magnetic to you,

[00:06:08.05]
and they DO know, like, and trust you,

[00:06:11.00]
you’ve got to make that
connection almost instantaneously.

[00:06:14.06]
Because online, it takes
1/10th of 1 measly second

[00:06:18.08]
for someone to form an opinion about you.

[00:06:22.02]
So that doesn’t mean you wanna have like,

[00:06:24.07]
big fake brand name shoes either,

[00:06:26.05]
that’s another attraction marketing.

[00:06:28.04]
If you look at someone who
has these really, really,

[00:06:32.01]
cheesy brand name shoes
where they’re like,

[00:06:35.04]
and they’re smiling over their computer

[00:06:37.05]
and they’re frozen in
some weird, fake smile,

[00:06:42.05]
and they’ve got their
leg kicked up in the back

[00:06:44.07]
or whatever it is, you kinda know that

[00:06:47.04]
they’re not really at the
level they claim to be.

[00:06:50.03]
Because if they were at that level,

[00:06:52.05]
A) they’d hire a better photographer,

[00:06:56.05]
and B) they would have a life

[00:06:59.09]
so they could document what
they were doing with you

[00:07:03.00]
in a much more natural way,

[00:07:04.06]
just like what I’m doing right now.

[00:07:06.05]
And that comes from
knowing how to show up,

[00:07:10.05]
knowing how to set yourself up.

[00:07:12.00]
Now being authentic is not
always the easiest thing

[00:07:14.05]
because being authentic might mean

[00:07:17.04]
just coming on and being real.

[00:07:20.03]
Actually, let me show you
what I’m doing right now.

[00:07:22.07]
I’ve got a shopping bag, cause
I told you I went shopping,

[00:07:26.03]
and I’m in SoHo, and there’s this railing,

[00:07:29.09]
and I’m using this railing to hold my arm

[00:07:33.00]
to take my photo to chat
with you, and it’s simple.

[00:07:37.06]
So when you leave how to set yourself up,

[00:07:40.00]
you make do with what you have,

[00:07:42.02]
and the best equipment
that you have is your phone

[00:07:45.01]
because it’s with you all the time, right?

[00:07:47.02]
So if you want to learn
how to set yourself up

[00:07:49.03]
and be on brand and create an image

[00:07:51.05]
that tells a story before you say a word,

[00:07:54.02]
that’s authentic visual storytelling,

[00:07:56.01]
that is able to attract the kind of people

[00:07:58.06]
you want to attract and not deter them

[00:08:01.09]
by showing up in a way that is wrong,

[00:08:04.05]
so that somebody would say, I
don’t want to listen to her,

[00:08:08.01]
I don’t believe her, that’s all wrong.

[00:08:10.02]
So you don’t want to
look weird and creepy.

[00:08:11.07]
You wanna just make sure

[00:08:12.05]
you’re setting yourself up the right way.

[00:08:14.07]
And I can help you with that.

[00:08:16.01]
So go over to authenticsuperstar.com,

[00:08:18.09]
it’s my free 5 day challenge
and I will set you up

[00:08:20.07]
with what you need to get started,

[00:08:23.08]
to show up in photos and
understand what you need

[00:08:26.06]
for your brand, and
how to show your brand,

[00:08:30.05]
and how to handle authentic
visual storytelling.

[00:08:35.07]
And how to turn yourself
into a human brand magnet.

[00:08:39.02]
Because people want to hear
what you have to say, right?

[00:08:43.06]
They’re attracted to you.

[00:08:45.02]
You might have people who
don’t like you, that’s cool.

[00:08:48.05]
Because you’re not out there to convince

[00:08:50.05]
the people who don’t like you to like you.

[00:08:52.05]
You’re out there to have
the people who like you

[00:08:55.06]
love you and want to buy from you.

[00:08:57.09]
And want to hear from you
and want to listen to you

[00:08:59.07]
and want to be part of your
world and want to know more.

[00:09:03.02]
So that’s it, you gotta
draw a line in the sand

[00:09:05.05]
as to who your client is, who you’re not,

[00:09:08.02]
who you want to be
attracted to, attracted by.

[00:09:12.00]
And who you don’t! It’s really simple.

[00:09:14.05]
Like, I know who my customers are,

[00:09:16.03]
and I’m very clear on that.

[00:09:18.04]
Normally, I work with very
smart and savvy entrepreneurs

[00:09:21.06]
who are over 45, who
have a ton of experience

[00:09:25.01]
and realize it’s not enough.

[00:09:27.01]
Very rarely do I work
with people who are young.

[00:09:31.00]
Sometimes, but most of the time,

[00:09:33.06]
it’s people who have a ton
of expertise and they know

[00:09:36.06]
that what they did before
is not what they can do now

[00:09:39.08]
because the market has changed.

[00:09:41.03]
And they’re struggling and they
know something is not right.

[00:09:43.05]
And they’re plateauing
and they can’t figure out

[00:09:45.05]
how to get to the next level,

[00:09:47.07]
and they’re kind of afraid to
get in front of the camera.

[00:09:49.07]
Because maybe they’re
not as young or as skinny

[00:09:51.03]
or even had any training to do it.

[00:09:53.03]
So I can help them in their
videos, in their content,

[00:09:57.09]
and in their photos.

[00:10:01.03]
Remember I was listed newspaper
columnist in 400 papers

[00:10:04.05]
and I’ve been online since
1989, so I’m pretty techie,

[00:10:07.06]
and I have a business degree,

[00:10:08.05]
and I was a stylist for
15 years on photo shoots.

[00:10:11.02]
So if you add it all up,

[00:10:12.01]
and I’ve been in the
media close to 1000 times,

[00:10:14.09]
so if you add it all up, I’ve
got a pretty good background

[00:10:18.07]
to help people, and
that’s what I enjoy doing.

[00:10:21.09]
So, go over to authenticsuperstar.com,

[00:10:24.04]
I will see you there and just know,

[00:10:27.02]
you just gotta show up like you mean it

[00:10:30.05]
and you’re going to attract
exactly the kind of people

[00:10:33.06]
you want to attract.

[00:10:34.09]
I’m more down-to-earth,
I tell it like it is,

[00:10:36.08]
and that’s kind of what I
get and that’s okay with me.

[00:10:40.00]
So I’ll see you over there, take care.

[00:10:41.07]
[kissing noise]
[00:10:42.07]
But if you have any questions,

[00:10:43.07]
drop them in the comments below. Bye!
