Everyday Hair With The Right Amount of Attitude at Proenza Schouler

Proenza Schouler F/W 2012

Backstage Beauty Notes: For Proenza Schouler’s Fall 2012 outing hair was kept simple and fuss-free for a look that played on each model’s individual style while maintaining the label’s cool cult status with styles that weren’t too polished or precious.

The team behind one of New York’s top collections has a few tips for you to keep in mind when going au natural:

Inspiration:For stylist Paul Hanlon, less was definitely more when it came to the look of the Proenza Schouler FW Fashion Show. Hanlon wanted each model to wear their hair as it was naturally, resulting in a truly individual look for every single model.

How to get the look: Wash your hair with Fekkai’s Apple Cider Clarifying Shampoo to remove any product build up. Let hair air dry naturally, or if applying heat, diffuse the hair straight on (as opposed to underneath) for the most natural result. Depending on hair length and texture, apply a minimal amount of product such as Fekkai Coiff Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray (for longer, thicker hair) or Fekkai Coiff Anti-Frizz Silkening Cream (for shorter hair prone to flyaways). Finally, apply the Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Crème for shine and hold.
