Anna Sui – Spring 2011 Fashion Show. Fun, Feminine and Bohemian Joy

Runway Review: The Anna Sui woman is a frisky pioneer chick by way of the late 1960’s, all wrapped up in a very modern package!

It’s home on a VERY fashionable range for Anna Sui…

Twenty years of Anna Sui and it will always be dreamy in my book!

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York went to the countryside for this show of pretty pioneer girls circa 1969 making daisy chains and playing the tambourine! Flirty dresses in mixed prints with fluttering hems were the highlight and perfect for spring paired with soft accessories.

Besides the perfectly pretty clothes, there was the accessorizing of feather necklaces, flower head wreaths, tiny round sunglasses and slouchy leather boots that took the full look into a mix-and-match 1960’s / home on the range / cowboys and Indians style.

The scene at the end of the runway to compliment the collection was of a shimmering, golden wheat field with an old country home of in the distance and a dusky purple sky.

Watching the show was like drifting away to someplace soothing and I look forward to wearing any of these dresses to feel that way.
