    Today’s post is more about the confidence in style from within you that creates the illusion  of something even more spectaluar that any couture garmet on the runway. For me, it’s the new definition of chic that I want you to understand and master.

    It’s a matter of attitude and understanding yourself when it comes to master these easy, everyday looks that are high on style and low on fuss.

    It’s the confidence and poise that these women carry themselves with that turns the ordinary into extroidinary. That’s what you need to understand about French chic style, it’s the simple everyday gear that looks great when it’s worn with confidence.

    Sure the clothes at the couture shows are precious and in the six-figure price range, but that didn’t restrict these show goers from rocking their own personal style to the max while out & about.

    Just take a look at what these women wore to the couture shows, these looks are utterly simple yet because its celebrities wearing them in a grand situation you’d think they’re bigger.

    But take a closer look, these are basic outfits you may even already have in your closet, yet it’s the attitude here that makes each look terrific. They’re beautiful clothes that don’t wear the wearer, and let’s not forget that these outfits were worn to the ultimate of all fashion shows… Haute Couture!

    From Ines de la Fressange in her signature skinny jeans to Dakota Johnson (to be seen in 50 Shades of Grey) in slick black leather, what makes each of these ladies standout is their nonchalant attitude when rocking the ultimate in go-to cool classics. Just take a look at the stance of each one; totally relaxed yet ready to stand sharp and strike a pose. And no, it’s not just because of the leather gear. It’s all in the attitude of the wearer.

    While Lily Collins vibrant mix & matched outfit is obviously a bold and youthful take on wearing florals, her look sure makes for a colorful take on a standard summer print. That said, both Alice Dellal and Alma Jodorowsky went the easy chic route by pairing their colorful floral trousers with simple tops that work to highlight their poppy bottoms while framing the face with solid shots of color.

    As they say, you can never go wrong with classic, ladylike shapes, especially when they come in standard black, grey and white. What works for each look is the utter simplicity of silhouette and detail which in turn keeps all eyes on the wearer’s attitude and poise.
