I just think people should know that grunge was never about being glamorous or fashionable, in fact it was anti-fashion, so to turn into fashion and insult its roots, such as thrift stores, then you should be ashamed.

Grunge, like punk, military uniforms, lingerie, spacesuits, cowboy, and ton’s of other types of clothing become a metaphor and inspiration for style. Back in the 70’s the rich hippie look was a fashion must, as is BoHo now.
Most would not think of it as insulting its roots, rather than paying homage to its roots and taking it one stylish step further.
