The Collection of Elizabeth Taylor auction dates December 13-16 2011, celebrating her life and legacy at Christie’s New York and online.

The legendary actress and humanitarian’s estate is stunning, to say the least. From the Crown Jewels of Hollywood, her copy of the first edition of National Velvet, incredible haute couture from Dior, Valentino, Gianni Versace, to French decorative arts and furniture from Emile Galle, to her Andy Warhols.
And, who cannot think of the jewels… some of the most extraordinary in the world, plus some Kenneth Jay Lane costume. It’s all there from high to low (that cigar box purse), and everything in between.
Elizabeth Taylor believed that more is more and it is difficult to imagine in a day of red carpet borrowing that any other celebrity’s personal collection could possibly amass as much. Simply amazing.

Pay special attention to the fashion insights of Elizabeth Taylor, who by the way did not come from the generation of having a stylist but purchased her own clothes. Its intriguing to how her style evolved with her life.
