I have to admit that I’m not the best at blowdrying my hair or using a curling iron. Frankly, I don’t have to be!
My easy beauty hack for using Velcro rollers to add volume to fine hair is so simple, that I don’t have worry about complicated blowouts.
[00:00:00] Hey it’s me Sharon from FocusOnStyle and we are here with today’s Quick Beauty Tip from my bathroom. It is the super duper, crazy, lazy way to add volume to thin hair
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’ve got crazy baby fine hair. My hair is so thin and I am horrible about blow drying it. That doesn’t mean I don’t do my hair every day. I try to get a haircut, which is a good shape that I can easily blow out but when I want a little extra volume. I have this trick.
[00:00:29] It’s really simple. I use Velro rollers. Velcro rollers are fantastic for traveling because they are so lightweight. You can actually add tons of curl and bounce to your hair from them.
I’m going to do this really raw in my bathroom… so not sure how much you’re going to see as a result here but will try to do one side as I hold the camera while I show you.
[00:00:49] Voila! And then when I want extra tzuj, I use a little bit of hairspray. I’m showing you totally with one hand so excuse the shakiness.
The secret to finishing up is to crunch your hair with hand. It is all in the crunch if you want to avoid big, pouffy lady hair.
[00:01:05] So the idea is to take your hair when it’s 90 percent dry, 95 percent dry, use the Velro rollers, then take the hair dryer and blow dry at the roots.
And then when you take the rollers out, spray a little hairspray and give it a crunch, I promise you it adds maybe two minutes to a dressing routine. Not much more It’s super-duper easy. Super great.
I know that hairdressers are probably cringing that I don’t have the Velcro rollers in perfectly. Hey, that’s what it’s all about. You don’t want overdone hair because that’s really old lady. You just want a little bounce. Hope this helps you.
See you in the next Quick Tip.
