DVF has many strong points, two biggies being that the line is versatile for any age and nearly any occasion.  You can go safe with solid colors and subtle small prints, or take it to the other extreme with bright colors and large scale patterning – either way you will be pulling off a classic, feminine look.  There’s a hint of art nouveau in the feather-esque prints and color blocked piecing, a bit of rock ‘n roll in the metallics and embossed animal prints, and finally a large dose of classic woman with the blazers and straight leg trousers, the soft, plunging neck blouses, and the fur collar outerwear.  The bright red and lipstick pink color pairing is fantastically feminine and bold simultaneously – great to brighten those dreary early Fall days and then to wear forward to February’s Valentine’s Day!

If you’re jumpsuit girl then the coral/scarlett//wine straight leg number has your name written all over it –  with the sexy chest cut-out (another detail seen on many of the Fall 2013 runways) you’ll be a fierce force not to be messed with!

DVF works on so many levels it’s hard not to love it and to have to own a piece or two…or five!  This is what New York ready-to-wear is all about. — Alix Kivlin
