Michael Kors Fall 2013 Runway Review: Michael Kors unleashes a bright, mod collection for his jetsetting girl at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York, balancing the ever-popular boxy, menswear shapes with super sexy, body con silhouettes – the best of both worlds.  Never shy of color, Kors really steps it up many notches with with a brilliant blue, safety orange, and ripe banana yellow to off-set the blacks and chunky heathered tweeds.  And let’s not dismiss the camoflauge and huge houndstooth printed furs – outstanding!

We’ve got a Kors take on the Bond girl with quilted leather panel mini dresses, a cold shoulder fur wrap jacket, sexy peplums in classic tweed, and zipper thigh pencil skirts.  On the other extreme you’ll find broad shoulder coats, oversize ski jackets, and again the leather quilting pieced into boxy outerwear.  The black patent leather taping to define seams on the pop color jackets and dresses gives a super sleek modern edge to the pieces.  And the leather quilting everywhere is anything but Michelin Man dressing!  One favorite piece is the leather paneled, ankle length, zip front one piece – Matrix girl meets Bond girl and it looks damn good.  Going out with a serious bang we have sweetheart neck strapless gowns with bright colored high-low full skirts – really making a statement at whatever gala you may be attending.
