Halloween Dog Costumes Are As Wild, Wooly, And Fantastic As Ever

20th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade put the woof in wild!

You know that there is nothing we love more around here than a good dog costume and a fab parade and contest to show them off. It’s that time of year again when New Yorkers put their best bark on and go a little experimental and zany in the name of their best friend.

This weekend, the 20th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade in support of the First Run dog park in the East Village has its share of (un)usual suspects to steal the show all in the name of fun. The Master of Ceremonies was "Snooki," see her below.

Mom must admit that her boys pulled in a 1st place for their group for a total made-by-kid Robot Who Wrecks the City theme. I have to think that the poodle must have been a fit model in a former life from his unbrideled patience during the "decorating" process.

Shark Attack won a top prize too!

There were bed bugs, royalty, pizza, Transformers, a member of the working press, a polo player, a lady in her robe and curlers, a 3-legged Shark Attack, a thug or two, some evil looking bats and whatever else you and your pooch could possibley envision. Best in show went to the doggie version of Scarlett O’ Hara, but all the pets put on their best show.

Looks a lot like Scarlett, no?
