I’ve almost run out of any possible space to add another "interesting" chair in our loft, so I’ve come to admire from afar, particularly ones that have a different design aesthetic from my home. Richard Nahem, who has a pretty fab pad in Paris, came across this incredible melding of design and fashion with classic high-end furniture reproductions on one of his Parisian walking tours.
Both Richard and I love La Fumeuse, pictured left, and we don’t even smoke! It’s a hot pink velvet "smoking chair," complete with with cigarette box by fashion designer Chantal Thomass. The chair is made of black varnished beechwood and nickel plated nails and fabric by Pierre Frey. Here’s what more of what he found –S.H.
