Kate Middleton Trumps Michelle Obama With Her Reiss Dress

One for the Brits, but the First Lady makes up for it later!

Sorry folks, but I have to give this one to the other team.

I’m afraid to say that Mrs. Obama’s dainty print, retro full skirt Barbara Tfank dress reminds me of another First Lady, Mamie Eisenhower, and, in my opinion, is not flattering to this First Lady’s statuesque frame.

But then there’s the clean chic style that Michelle Obama hallmarked, this time worn by Kate Middleton.

After the satorial success of her wearing a Reiss dress for when her engagement was announced, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge selected another Reiss dress to meet President and Mrs. Obama at Buckingham Palace on the first day of the President and First Lady’s three-day State Visit to Britain.

This time, it’s a bandage style, nude color, yet very tailored $340 “Shola” dress. Somehow adding the affordable price after that succession of titles makes, it even more incredible.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s Reiss dress:

The First Lady did hit the fashion mark in a far more sophisticated and modern full skirt — but not retro– Roksanda Ilincic purple dress for her visit to Westminster Abbey with the President.

To attend the State Dinner at Buckingham Palace, First Lady Michelle Obama wore a stunning Tom Ford ruched, ivory, georgette evening gown with ribbon details that reminds me of a fresh take on her inauguration gown.
