Let’s look at Richard’s capture of the best holiday windows from Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, Le Bon Marche.–S.H.
Every year I look forward to my Christmas in Paris series, where I highlight all the great holiday windows and attractions around the city.
Galeries Lafayette
This year Galeries Lafayette has the most adorable holiday windows I’ve seen in a long time. The theme is Monsters, but they aren’t the scary ones, they are bright colored, cuddly, friendly creatures. Gustave is the main monster, a lovable furry hot pink creature along with his female companion Gaga who has big eyelashes and delicate white gloves.

A live version of Gustave will be greeting kids and adults in the store and making mischief. In fact he got into trouble when he turned the Christmas tree in the middle of the store upside down.
The monsters also put on a live show along with dancers, acrobats, and comedians throughout the day on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday till November 22 on the first, second, and fifth floor.

For fashion monsters, Fendi has installed a pop up boutique with an exclusive Christmas collection of handbags, leather goods, and shoes. The hungry monsters can munch away on a special éclair with googly eyes created by pastry chef Christophe Adam from L’éclair de Genie.

Printemps
Printemps goes British this holiday season with window displays by Burberry.
The windows follow the journey of a boy traveling with his teddy bear from Burberry’s Regent Street to Printemps on Boulevard Haussmann wearing a Burberry trench coat, cashmere scarf, rain boots and walking umbrella.

They are the first interactive windows created by the store and visitors can connect to Printemps Wi-Fi to interact with individual scenes, and can access additional content from their browsers.
They can also control the weather as the boy crosses the Channel and can activate a storm – with accompanying sound – or navigate a fleet of boats.

Super models Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne were on hand to inaugurate the windows.

Children who included their email in their letter to Santa will receive a special animated video in their mailbox. Click here to watch.

In between the reindeer the windows feature luxurious accessories including shoes, scarves, jewelry, and hats.
