Anna Piaggi, 81, passed away at her home in Milan. It is indeed the end of an era for authentic eccentric style combined with an unerring eye to what is fashion.
In a time of dime a dozen posers trying to set forth their fashion freak for a bit of media attention, Ms. Piaggi was– and will remain– an original.
Her “work” was as creative consultant to Vogue Italia since 1988 but it is her individuality that is legend. If you are going to make a BIG statement, make it your own and at that, Ms. Piaggi was brilliant beyond compare.
R.I.P Anna Piaggi, the joy you brought to fashion will be missed.
