Repurpose some Fashion Unexpected at the Pasadena Rose Bowl with Strim Vintage Designer, Wendy Mirts!
I love a good flea market for its unexpectedness and odd one-of-a-kind items.
I’ve picked up some incredible vintage finds from Paris to New York, and many dusty points in between. So when I heard that The Curvy Fashionista Marie Denee had some super tips by way of Strim Vintage Designer, Wendy Mirts on how to shop a huge flea market, like the one in Pasedena, I had to have her share her tips with you!
Marie Denee one of the bloggers scouting out finds across the country on behalf of the Chevy Cruze-arati team, so who knows where she’ll turn up next. Watch how to repurpose vintage finds into something new and more fabulous… and on the hood of a car to boot! –S.H.
What happens when you drop a vintage fashion designer and reseller with a Curvy Fashionista like myself- all while playing in my all new Chevy Cruze?
Vintage Style Stories
Fashion Unexpected is one of my webisodes where we fashion something – literally unexpected! On a special tour of one of the largest flea markets, vintage queen Wendy Mirts takes me on a tour around the Paedena Rose Bowl Flea Market, giving me tips on how to shop, what to look for, and how to manage the GINORMOUS grounds!
I mean enormous! The flea market is so huge that you had to cross a bridge JUST to get to its FASHION section! Who knew! I cannot even tell you the last time I ventured to a flea market to shop!
But it does NOT end there!
Wendy shows off her DIY prowess for her repurposed vintage items and with my (little) help, she fashions a chandelier necklace for me on the hood of the car!!!!!!!
I LOVE LOVE my necklace!!!! Do you shop flea markets for vintage finds? Did the tips help you?
What has been your favorite flea market score? Share with me I want to know, because after THIS fashion adventure, I now am about to be a junkie! It was sooo much fun! — Marie Leggette, The Curvy Fashionista
