Red Carpet Style from “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations” Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
Time goes by so fast that it’s even hard to believe that the Met Gala was here once again just yesterday evening especially after the mega-buzz last year’s Savage Beauty retrospective of Alexander McQueen drew.

But here we are again for another fantastic, intriguing exhibit focusing on the work and uncanny parallels between Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaperelli, two women who could easily be considered as the most innovative designers from the past 100 years.
This year’s red carpet had its expected misses (we’ll get to those to help you avoid the same pitfalls –later), but for now, here’s a first look at the evening’s best dressed stars.

Musician Lana Del Ray wore one of the best looks we’ve seen her in as of yet in custom Joseph Altuzarra inspired by “gothic, glamorous beauty,” which in the end, delivered one bombshell worthy arrangement.
It’s no secret that the ladies of Vogue magazine have a die-hard respect for Miuccia Prada, just take at look at the publication’s editor, Grace Coddington, in a satin Prada coat.
