Funny New York Story.
I was waiting to get my haircut yesterday when this weird homeless guy walked into the salon. He’s one of the regular oddballs that you see from time to time around the neighborhood.
The guy sashayed over to the magazines and picked up one with Martha Stewart on the cover.
Then he started muttering, “You know that Martha Stewart is one smart cookie. She got the rap because she’s a woman but she came back. She’s a survivor. I like her, she took some damn bake goods and made everyone want them and built an empire. If she was a man it would be different. But she’s a woman and I like her. She’s smart.’
Then cashier gave him $2 and he walked out.
Only in New York!

Just as I finished recording the podcast episode for you about turning yourself into a media magnet, I got a call for a spot on a big French TV news show. Funny how that Law of Attraction thing happens. The shoot date isn’t set, but I’ll let you know.

FocusOnStyle.com was created back in 1999, the 7 Days to Amazing Podcast was launched last year, and StyleWord: Fashion Quotes for Real Style was self-published.
In this modern age of technology, anyone can create their own media “empire” as their platform to spread their message. It can start out as your only alternative to something, or be supports your press, or as a dream come true. The why doesn’t matter as much as that you’re showing up as authentically and professionally as you can to be seen as a relevant, credible source.

Hubbs and I stopped by MOMA The Museum of Modern Art to see the Items: Is Fashion Modern? exhibition, along with the Louise Bourgeois: An Unfolding Portrait, and the Max Ernst Show.
I snapped some shots for my Instagram story and then added some to Facebook. Very cool show, you should go if you’re in the city.
If you’re not, find something cultural to take in this weekend, it will open your eyes, heart, and soul to seeing things a different way. That’s where abundance begins.
