Can you believe that there are only 5 days left to 2017?!   We have been enjoying our first holiday season at our home in NYC for the first time in a long time... I just love the magic in the city this time of year.   The New Year will start at our place in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where rather than hitting the ground running, I will literally be relishing the white space to ease into 2018.   As you're winding down this helluva year, Mr. Poodle and I invite you to catch up on these curated resources so you can be the best at being you in the new year. [THE DIGEST] The homeless guy who idolizes Martha Stewart, getting out there and tzujing it up!

Note From Sharon... Funny New York Story. I was waiting to get my haircut yesterday when this weird homeless guy walked into the salon. He's one of the regular oddballs that you see from time to time around the neighborhood. The guy sashayed over to the magazines and picked up one with Martha Stewart on the cover. Then he started muttering, "You know that Martha Stewart is one smart cookie.  She got the rap because she's a woman but she came back. She's a survivor. I like her, she took some damn bake goods and made everyone want them and built an empire. If she was a man it would be different. But she's a woman and I like her.

[THE DIGEST] It’s Better Together!

Note From Sharon... It's been such a helter-skelter week. Sometimes what you do everyday just doesn't seem that monumental to you. But then you look back and reflect and see the thread of continuity that makes each individual moment more special. This week it is the power of connection. Because quite frankly, it's better together! From spending quality time with family and friends, exploring restaurants from far off places that make the world seem so much closer, and investing in the time to make new business bestie and nourish the ones we have. The theme of connection follows suit on FocusOnStyle. Without connecting your business side to your style side and honoring the beauty of each, you are simply not

Note From Sharon... Happy end of September! Fall is my favorite season (jackets, sweaters and boots!!!) and the time when many of us start to focus on how to end the year on a high note. What are you planning in your business? It's also a big concert time. We saw Paul McCartney last week. I posted clips on my Instagram story and on Facebook for you! A Hard Day's Night & Maybe I'm Amazed were my favorite songs. And a big event time. I spoke at a live event in North Carolina last week and have some more coming up. What it's also time for is showing up. For anything. For everything. Because how you show up in one way

[THE DIGEST] Back and busy in New York City

Note From Sharon... Funny how days linger and feel so full when you are on vacation and seem to speed up once you are back in the city. Shhhh... don't tell anyone but I'm STILL working on unpacking as I'm determined to combine that into my ongoing closet overhaul. The Hubbs has been on a retro concert jag. We saw both Depeche Mode and Pat Benatar this week. Frankly, I can't get that shoulder tork dance step out of my head so don't be surprised if you catch me doing a "Love is a Battlefield" move. I shared a bunch of video clips from the concerts for you to also watch at the end of this post. There's been a lot

[THE DIGEST] Applied authenticity, work from home style, leading to the top + more

In this Issue... Okay, so y'all know I have a double life. This diehard city girl has a place out west which really can't be more opposite if it tried. My work-ation continues with some very pleasant breaks to soak up the great outdoors and western vibe in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In total honesty, I didn't put on any/much makeup until my interview with the Women's Entrepreneur Network (below). Oddly, it's been slim pickings for wildlife. So far we haven't had any backyard moose but I did spot a mama moose and calf on my morning poodle walk. Hubbs arrived and we did some backcountry drives, including Grand Teton National Park and a back road that made me gulp as

[THE DIGEST] blondes, business, NYC experience, believable + more

Email Exclusive... You know that I'm a Native New Yorker so it takes a lot to get me excited about celebrity. For me, celebrities are no different than you are me. It's the power of  perception that anyone can muster up. And especially in this visual age,  it's mandatory to stand out as the face of your brand. That's what I teach my clients and I what I share with you. But every once in a while something very New Yorky happens and gets me all excited. Like when Robert DeNiro not only gave the commencement speech at my son's high school graduation but also received his honor high school diploma as well. Then there was the time that I
