Runway Review: The French film, L’Amant was the inspiration for the collection
Suffering from a severe “gotta have what I see now” fashion disorder, I sat back and figured out how to style the essence of the Resort 2011 collection, right now on the cuff of Summer 2010.

Erin Fetherston was inspired by the 1992 French film, “L’Amant” (The Lover) that takes place in 1929 French Indochina.
“I wanted to capture an effortless, chic sensibility in an offering with lots of mix and matchability," Fetherston said.

There is a distinct nod to early Coco Chanel, the languid romantic feel of 1920’s French Indonesia, and thanks to Fetherston‘s foray into denim a modern girl edge to keep the look from getting too banal.
