You may have spotted me on the teaser at the end of last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. Well, I guess you can figure out the rest!

When I think of great style, one of the icons would have to be Yves Saint Laurent and his love of all things beautiful.

The first time I step off the plane in Marrakech into the desert heat, some 25 years ago, I knew I had found the place that makes me the most happy, I have continued to return over and over again and remain in awe of the orange and magenta sunsets.

    So beautiful...

The Moorish influences are everywhere as well as the Andalusian’s in the north. In Chefchaouen you can see the strong Spanish influences – the people and their pale blue and green eyes, the red tile roofs, and bright blue buildings.

On my recent trip to Morocco where I met the ladies of the RHONY, I slipped away for a private lunch with my friend Daniele Pollitz in the legendary botanical gardens of Jacques Majorelle, the expatriate French artist who moved to Morocco in 1924 during the colonial period when Morocco was a protectorate of France.

In this video, I’m sharing with you the beauty of the flora, the fauna, the Moorish house that was home to Pierre and Yves for over 40 years (this home is also the final resting place of YSL); as well as the Islamic Art Museum that houses Saint Laurent’s personal collection of North African textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and paintings of Majorelle.

Make sure you watch the RHONY tonight on Bravo at 10pm eastern time for all the drama and effect Morocco has on these ladies and myself as and see what enfolds in the new town. The best RHONYC is yet to come! You don’t want to miss it! — Brad Boles
