Juliette Binoche rocks a drop crotch Givenchy jumpsuit and we love it

I’ll Have What She’s Having: A Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy harem jumpsuit

If there had to be one major investment trend piece for my wardrobe this season, I would be hard-pressed not to consider the drop-crotch, harem jumpsuit by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy that Juliette Binoche absolutely rocked in Cannes this week.

Drop crotch, harem pants are by far a hard look to pull off but she did so flawlessly. There’s always the fear of resembling Diaper Dan or one of those hippie tourists who snooze outside the museums in Europe in stretched out harem pants and dreadlocks.

But when worn right, the look is amazing!

The reason harem pants work so well here is, besides the quality and exquisite design, is that they are made of a fabric with just the right substance to drape without being draggy or bulky.

The softness of the drape is balanced by a tailored top, and those fabulous shoes add the right height to bring the eye up with enough detail to ground the drainpipe leg. Perfection!

Peek at the montage below for a few hints on how to be inspired by this look for your wardrobe.

Separates may be more versatile for you than a jumpsuit, so try a sleeveless jacket as a top– maybe even layer a white one under a black vest to get the large collar effect.

Find a soft fabric tie belt to cinch your waist.

And don’t forget the harem pants— you can find them in just about every price point this season.

Beauty is everything, so simple pulled back hair and natural makeup compliment the dramatic jumpsuit without competing with its line.

As for the shoes, I may have to give it up for the pair that Juliette Binoche is wearing but platform sandals that match the leg the pant color will work just as fine.
