Holiday Sweater Guide- Not the Fugly Kind, But Gorgeous Ones You Would Really Wear

It just so happens that holiday colors are very in this season. So when it comes to holiday sweaters, it’s very easy to step it up with easy elegance.

Ruby red, emerald green and Chanukah blue (ok, that’s cobalt blue) twist a modern yarn on hideous holiday sweaters reserved for Great Aunt Abigal and that fugly hipster who thinks they’re cool. Just look at the gorgeous jewel tone colors from the Tory Burch trifecta of seasonal colors pictured above.

I rest my case.

Well, once in a very short while, you can find a cute holiday sweater, like the ASOS Christmas Patterned Sweater, pictured right.

Except, you can wear it once and then have to pack it away until next season. And, unless you are under 25 or over 80, it typically doesn’t wear well.

I’m never one for themed clothing anyway… it’s almost impossible to be chic and guaranteed to be hokey.

Doesn’t it make more style sense to go 360 from cheesy and covet a clean and brilliant sweater in the colors of the season that will be a welcome addition to your wardrobe for the rest of the year?

I think so. Don’t you?

Up the ante on Festivus by lighting the menorah in something pretty and cobalt, like the sweater above.  Why not get some holiday spirit going?  We celebrate both holidays at my house with a birthday and anniversary thrown in for seasonal good measure. I know busy.

Easy does it on Christmas day with a chic & easy piece like a brilliant red pullover. It will pullover big time for the full season of winters to come with its laid back elegance. Holiday sweater = yes. Chic = always.

Go green in a sweater that, I bet, becomes you’re go to wardrobe brighten for a very long time. Like the textured pullover above, that I LOVE.  Alright, wear a red collared shirt under it if you must, but a green sweater like this will get a lot of wear in your closet or mine.

I pulled a slew of really pretty sweaters in the holiday colors of the season, what do you think?
