Marni’s Consuela Castiglioni‘s tightly edited Spring/Summer outing was focused on sporty color-blocked separates with a clean, minimal appeal, leaving her trademark vintage quirkiness behind for updated and somewhat preppy basics in unexpected hues that are all uncompromisingly easy on the wear and undeniably fresh.
A body conscious athletic theme gave the house’s signature Missoni textured knits a relaxed sportif appeal that would have felt a tad bit too banal if they had not been accentuated with a focus on new textures and weaves and hit upon the season’s color-blocking trend. Only going to show you that it’s not always about reinventing the wheel each season when just a little spin will do.
