Milla Jovovich Knows How to Wear Beige With a Pop of Color and Major Bling

I’ll Have What She’s Having: Vibrant red & some Jacob & Co. bling

Beige, nude, taupe, and all those "new neutrals" are hotter than hot this season, but let’s face it, they can wash you out.

Runway after runway, model after model– particularly at New York Fashion Week- all worked the Spring / Summer beige trend. But to be honest, after the third day of shows, it all morphed into one big beige blob for me.

While beiges can be very soft and pretty, sometimes a few major accents that play off its neutrality are what it takes to turn a blah to wow.

I love Milla Jovovich becuase she’s darn cool! She gets that one fantastic way to make soft neutrals pop is with a vivid accent of color… and some major bling makes it all the more better.

She walked the "La Conquete" premiere red carpet in Cannes dressed in a sharp-tailored Prada gown, a very modern alternative to all those actresses prancing around in nude sequin mother-of-the bride gowns.

As the face of Jacob & Co, fantabulous jewels were to be expected.

A one of a kind, 30 carat diamond cocktail ring, a yellow and white diamond pave Five Time Zone World is Yours Watch, and sun colored 27 carat earrings all from the private archive Jacob & Co. Red Carpet Collection, selected by Jacob Arabo himself added plenty of edgy sparkle.

And there was the pop of vibrant red.

Super vivid and non-glossy red lips spotlights the red trim and red belt detail, and the well-placed red minaudiere bag acts as a beacon to the bling. Imagine a similar look without the red accent… not quite as striking.

Next time you feel like tzujing uo some beige; don’t forget clear red accents and a healthy dose of sparkle
