Paris Christmas Windows go futuristic with Lanvin and Le Bon Marche

Have yourself a very modern Christmas full of simple and clean artistic references… Both luxury retailer Lanvin Paris and luxury department store Le Bon Marche take an artistic turn for their Christmas windows.

I especially like the clever holiday windows at the Lanvin men’s and women’s shop that have a surreal post-modern art feel.

Very modern and dramatic mannequins are tipped to 45 degree angles as if windswept to the next party. Or, perhaps the literal feel of New Year’s Day.

Le Bon Marché has the most innovative holiday windows this year. Video artist Bertrand Planes has an installation of four animated videos that take center stage. The windows all humorously reference the holiday turkey.

One window has cascading paper plates filled with projected turkey dinners on them. Another window with with a cloud of eyeglasses eyeing a turkey ballet much like an American musical.
