Forget the Dancing Elephants…

Dralion Circus costumes can be gorgeous, just look at Cirque du Soleil's Dralion. Yeah, yeah, I know you think a circus can't be a style thing, but that's just not true. Dralion,Cirque du Soleil's newest production currently touring North America, and sponsored in part by Swarovski crystal, is just one of the most fabulous visual spectacles around. Of course, you knew that all Cirque du Soleil's are gorgeous, didn't you? In fact, the NYC opening night crowd at Dralion was pretty chi-chi too. De-clutter This!…

The Harness Motorcycle Boot is Back I don't care what efficiency "experts" say. I just paid a visit to a demonstration initiated by a "professional organizer'' to see if she has some brilliant secrets about realistically storing a collection of boots. Her solution: Toss out what you haven't worn in a year. I guess that's why she looked like she couldn't give a who-ha about style! LOOK BETTER FOR LESS…

Dress Tips for a Meager Budget Inexpensive clothing, for the most part but not always, lacks the quality and workmanship of a better priced garment. I'm not telling you to spend money you don't have, I'm telling you to shop discriminatingly. There are certain thrifty things that you can get away with. Natural fibers like cotton and some wool can stand up to the scrutiny of a cheaper price tag. But be careful of color and sizing. White is usually OK across the price board, but typically the buttons and seaming don't pass muster. If the seams are skinny and ragged, forget it, there is nothing to do. But if the buttons are cruddy, just replace them with better buttons.

We're not talking about fussy leashes and glamourella collars that doggie darling feels too overdone to catch a ball in. Or, that your he-man honey feels totally ridiculous being near. We are insisting upon whimsical wag wear that's as adorable as the tail-wagger herself. The dogshop at Old Navy has the sweetest bow-wow accessories at a mutt of a price.
