Hubbs, Mr Poodle and I have been road tripping.
We’ve been cruising around from our vacation place in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to Phoenix, Arizona where we started in Scottsdale, headed to Sedona, over to the Grand Canyon and then over to the fabulous Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, a night in Las Vegas (Mr. Poodle played the slots at The Bellagio), and then back to Scottsdale for an intensive speaking mastermind with my amazing coach, the legendary Larry Wingett!
Just about every summer, we take a western family road trip from our place in Jackson Hole but this summer was different.
It was the first time my son didn’t join us for the ride- he was back home starting his sophomore year as a Film and TV major at NYU.
What made the first “empty nester” trip even odder was that it was the first time that my husband and I stayed at The Bellagio in Las Vegas since I was pregnant.
We took in so many beautiful natural wonders but my favorite was Monument Valley on the Utah – Arizona border. It may seem familiar as so many westerns are filmed there.
I made a little Facebook video showing you the western film museum and a Facebook live of the drive around some of the natural monuments.
Hubbs called it the green to greed trip since it was all about nature and then Vegas!
I’m back in New York and it’s Fashion Week (talk about change) and the road trip already feels so far away.
Gotta go and unpack, but while I do here’s some cool content to help you transition out of summer with style!
Keep the summer look going longer!

Especially when it’s so easy to create a glowing fake tan that looks amazing. Watch as I explain my own techniques and showcase some of my favorite products to help get you started…
Your skin will thank you for it!

I had a lot of fun documenting the road trip daily on Instagram Stories and sharing the experience with you.In case you don’t follow me on Instagram (you should, right here: https://www.instagram.com/focusonstyle/), I’ve attempted to recreate a slideshow of my Instagram Stories (the little icons above your IG feed that only last 24 hours).Honestly, it’s not as cool as watching live on Instagram, but gives you a nice idea of how I spent the past week or so.Enjoy the beautiful scenery:Posted by Sharon Haver - Focusonstyle.com on Sunday, September 10, 2017
