STYLE YOUR SUCCESS, LIVE YOUR DREAM...

The FocusOnStyle Blog
Helping You + Your Business Get Out There!

Make it your business to live your dream…

I inadvertently started my blog during my infant son’s nap time back in 1999… before the term ‘blog’ was even popular.

Through it all, I believe…

Your style is your fingerprint in all that you do… it’s how you see the world + how the world perceives you.

The blog archives go back to the beginning and are updated regularly.  You’ll find 1,000’s of posts about modern business, branding, positioning, marketing, photos, fashion, style, beauty, lifestyle… and most importantly, how to do anything authentically. Enjoy!

Wide Leg Jeans Tips- How to Wear the Pants Trend

The secret to pulling off this super hot fashion trend is more than just the fit! We certainly all have plenty of skinny jeans in our closets, and I am assuming that you've gotten the memo that they look the most modern these days when paired with a ladylike pump or rolled at the hem with flats. Citizens of Humanity - Hutton High Rise Wide Leg Jeans It may be the inner 70's child in me, but I must admit, I always have a special place for wide leg pants and platform shoes. When worn right, the look is crisp, lean and iconic. Wide leg jeans have been

BUT, can we talk shoes?! Worth the Investment: A classic, yet super stylsih pump, like these Giuseppe Zanotti Tapered Toe Pumps will last for seasons to come! Maybe it's from having big feet and I feel a need to compensate. Maybe it's simply that you can ruin an outfit with the wrong shoes and

House of Dior Homage Exhibition for Paris Fashion Week

Retail Remedy: Le Bon Marché in Paris showcases the Eternellement Dior We know how much Richard Nahem loves the Paris that he shares in his walking tours, and he will be tipping FocusOnStyle during Paris Fashion Week. Designer John Galliano has been certainly in the news this week for his rather horrific alleged comments caught on a cell phone video. I've been interviewed a bit for my opinion on this and, based on what I have seen thus far, personally support the House of Dior in its termination of the designer as its creative director in the wake of this situation. You can see the video on The Sun, here. Le Bon Marche Rive Gauche, a major Parisian department store
