We’ve fashionably reincarnated what seems like every groovy sneaker in captivity with a fresh version that squeals cute and certainly smells better than a skanky second-hand find.

Now that proverbial retro classic, Converse just got in the act with a reissued replica of the 1946 Chuck Taylor All Star.

But, this “Chuck” is not your de rigeur rocker type basketball sneak. Instead, it’s more of a way to conjure up your inner big lug or saucy dish!

Its natty leather appears as if it popped out of a dog eared snapshot of papa hanging out with Ingrid Bergman in the day. The usually white rubber sole and trim are military khaki because these were the athletic shoes outfitted to World War II soldiers going through basic training.

This limited edition replica showcases its original government contract number and has all the detailing of the 1940’s production model, plus it comes in a replica wooden box with its own dogtag.

Yowsa.
