Goldie (Golden Globe) Locks…
I have to say that glamour was the name of the game in Hollywood for the 66th Annual Golden Globe awards! I am a big believer in “less is more” when it comes to fashion and that was evident in the style of most of the ladies. The gorgeousness on the red carpet this time around looked like new Hollywood returned to the 1950’s old Hollywood allure.
The red carpet fashion is amazing, however many of you can’t just run out and buy Christina Hendricks’s awesome black gown, Kate Winslet’s well-structured sophisticated black dress, or you may not wanna try Renee Zellweger ‘s illusion bodice Carolina Herrera gown, you can reproduce the feel of their pretty updo hairstyles on your own. Renee, Christina and Kate all donned fanciful and sophisticated updo’s that are not difficult to re-create.
For Christina and Renee’s flouncy, fun hairstyle, use medium hot rollers all over the head. When you take the rollers out, separate the curls with your fingers. Lightly spray with some dry spray wax, like the one from Joico’s Design line. Take all hair that is behind your ears and do a simple twist up towards the crown of your head. Secure with hairpins. Separate the front gently down the middle to create sexy curls. Finish with a light hairspray like Sebastian Shaper.
To get the look of the Golden Globes big winner, Kate Winslet’s more sophisticated updo hairstyle, follow the same instructions as with Christina and Rene, but instead use large rollers and omit the bang area. After you twist the back up, leave the bang out for a swoop. Gently take the sides back and incorporate them into twist in back with hairpins.
For Kate’s style I would try a beautiful sparkling comb to add that extra glam!
Now, just look at your glamorous hair… maybe, you need to change out of those sweat pants! – Mr. Beauty Tips
