Lady Gaga Costumes for Monster Ball Tour by Giorgio Armani, a collaboration that’s out of this world

Giorgio Armani & Lady Gaga may be the oddest of fashion bedfellows, but what magic it is!

They are at it again…

First there was the series of outfits that included the haute couture satellite dress— one of our favorite Gaga costumes– that Giorgio Armani designed for Lady Gaga for the 2010 Grammy Awards.

And now, there’s more in the insane pairing of over-the-top spectacular, yet still elegant collaboration, to come from the genius collaboration of Giorgio Armani and Lady Gaga that the designer calls a “stimulating and enjoyable challenge.”

We’ll say as these costumes are a far cry from the tailored power suits designed for Naomi Watts in “Fair Game’– Mr. Armani, you are diversified.

The Armani- Gaga collaboration this time is for her Monster Ball global tour that starts in February 2011 and also includes appearances on December 4th and 5th in Milan.

Silhouettes in the special series include a structured body with pronounced shoulders, totally embroidered with diamanté, a multi-colored body in diamanté with ribbon-work creating a lobster-inspired effect on the front and sleeves, a mini dress cut geometrically with a mirror finish, and a long trench in black patent leather. Down to the last detail, complimenting accessories, shoes and eyewear will also be designed by Mr. Armani.
