Laptop Lifestyle + Freedom: How to Make It Work

The beauty of leading your own online business is that you can afford the time to see some places without waiting for vacation time Many entrepreneurs and business owners today are living this “laptop lifestyle”. Instead of being tied to your office, you’re free to go and work from wherever you like. You're able to explore new places you’ve never been to before. All while staying productive. But there’s a few caveats… I've noticed that having a partner with a job that ties him to one place and living a laptop lifestyle is not necessarily mutually exclusive. But with some compromising and time planning, we manage to work wonderfully for both of us. Like right now.  (I’m currently at the

Brights Lights Paris- a chic Francophile travel guide that you don’t need to leave home to enjoy

Are you dreaming of a Paris getaway? I've got a great quick read for you. Bright Lights Paris: Shop, Dine & Live . . . Parisian Style by Angie Niles is a chic Francophile travel guide that's as indispensable as a what to do in Paris guide as it is a how to dress like a Parisian tip sheet. The delightful book is so granular in its Parisian style observations that it even breaks down what the French girls wear arrondissement by arrondissement, that's neighborhood by chic neighborhood.  After all, you wouldn't want to look too Trocadéro (Paris's 16th arrondissement) when you're tooling around Le Marais (the 3rd arrondissement) now would you? Not planning a trip to Paris anytime soon? Don't worry, there are plenty of French

Paris Resale: Vintage French Chic at L’Ibis Rouge

Chanel jacket at L’Ibis Rouge
On The Road: Richard Nahem comes across a marvelous Paris shop full of gorgeous French designer goodies. They say the teacher learns from their students. In my case, it’s the Paris tour guide who learns from their clients. Over the years, my clients have shared many things I haven’t had prior knowledge of including: restaurants, historic facts, shopping, hotels, and other insider tidbits. Many have been great finds and very useful. >>MORE: Paris A lovely client from Louisiana and I hit it off like a house on fire last year when we did a Marais tour together. The Right Attitudes: Chloe Exhibit in Paris Explores the History of the Fashion House

Chloe Attitudes
Paris In Style: Chloe Attitudes Exhibit at Palais de Tokyo There hasn’t been a fashion exhibit that has wowed me since I wrote about the Madame Grés exhibit last spring. The Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton show earlier this year was a letdown for me and far too much a promotion for the brand. I just went to the Chloe Attitudes show and it was a delightful surprise, as I didn’t know much about it before I saw it. Chloe Attitudes The show is a tribute to Gaby Aghion, who started the Chloe label 60 years ago by having a casual show of the first collection at the Café de Flore. In subsequent years she strived to make Chloe a brand that would have the informality of everyday wearable clothes with the luxuriousness

What to wear on vacation in a city? Jennifer Aniston has really easy travel style

Jennifer Aniston wore a brown leather TOM FORD Jennifer bag with gold zipper details while strolling in Paris
I'll Have What She's Having: Classic style that's fit for city touring We know you don't want to look like a tourist, that's for sure! But what to pack and what to wear on vacation in a city can be problematic if you don't simplify it. Nothing can be easier than what Jennifer Anniston is wearing while strolling in Paris with beau Justin Theroux. Her outfit may not be head turning to a diehard fashionista, but it is elegant, rich, and true to the classic, clean chic style that flatters her. And, as far as I'm concerned, EXTREMELY wearable for most of us! The right blazer can go from casual to more dressed up, like this alice + olivia Camio Puff Sleeve

When In Rome: Flea Market With Vintage Gucci, Fendi, Valentino, Chanel and more

It's big designer names, names, names made even more enticing under the flea market tarp! The city of Rome is truly a living architectural museum, but where do all the old fashion relics go?A good chunk can be found on the right Sunday at the Borghetto Flaminio market.Lot's of vintage costume jewelry and even some hard to find pieces at the Borghetto Flaminio from the 1960s and some Hermes. While Porta Portese is the more widely known flea market in Rome, for me, it's  a crowded and huge mass of junky new items and a few stalls of ratted up old fur. It's been known that if you dig deep enough at Porta Portese that you will find "something" but for me it was more like something plastic and tacky.Porta Portese
