Feeling old, tired, and bored? Go see Madonna for a pick-me-up!
Boost Me Up, Mama Madonna! Sometimes my inbox is full of mail from women thinking they are too old or afraid to make a change in their wardrobe or personal style in fear of not dressing age-appropriate. Some of these poor courage-deprived chickadees are even in their thirties!!! Well, before you sit home and feel sorry for yourself any longer, or just want to have fun, I urge you to go out and see Madonna, now roaming the world on her Sticky & Sweet tour. I really get disgusted with every other review commenting on her age… well, it’s not age, honey, it’s vitality! It would be hard-pressed to find someone else who can consistently challenge boredom
Lost in Fashion Bliss… The Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute goes online
One of the best things about being lucky enough to grow up in NYC is to regularly visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Even luckier, is to have a yen for fashion and the privilege to visit its Costume Institute, starting from back in the day that Diana Vreeland ruled. The Costume Institute’s recent renovation makes viewing the fashion exhibitions even more spectacular but for those who cannot make it to Manhattan or crave some deskside drooling and inspiration, WWD reports this morning that 29,432 items from the Costume Institute's impressive collection 31,000-piece collection of clothing and objects have been photographed and cataloged into an online database. Please visit the fashion archives of Met online, you may become addicted: http://metmuseum.org/works_of_art/the_costume_institute
Eyeglasses: Bolder is Better
... (Sarah) Palin on Style Doggone it, I really hate to give Sarah Palin ink. No matter how much you try to tszuj her up in designer clothes, that beauty pageant up-do and trying to be elegant but dated scholarly look just ain’t rocking it for me. Yes, I did see the old school photos of her with the pitbull porn star brown lipliner too… wink, wink. Face it, I don’t think there is that much fashion in a darn sportsman (that’s pc for hunting, my friends) mall. You can try to style her up, but, there ‘ya go… Politics and Stuart Smalley catchphrases aside, Mrs. Palin is a bit pale in the innovative style department. Therefore, when her folksy

While filming ‘Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America For The Purpose Of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable In The Presence Of A Gay Foreigner In A Mesh T-Shirt‘ during Milan’s Fashion Week, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen stomped the runway of designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada’s fashion show. No, the powers that be were not amused. The Bruno character is an over-the-top Austrian fashionista who found his way backstage and then on the catwalk before he was ousted by security. According to The Huffington Post, Cohen did not have ID with him at the time of the scuffle. Oh, well, bet it’s as funny as a bear in the back of an ice cream truck, and we mean that

"Life is Beautiful" East Village graffiti in the style of Andy Warhol. Larry King and Michael Jackson with Marilyn Monroe hair, and Alfred Hitchcock. But instead, true style and insight turn up in so many different paths, that all you need to do is keep your eyes open and be aware of the style around you– that is where you can really find inspiration.
