In their words... ACNE MENSWEAR COLLECTION SPRING/SUMMER 2011 "I had a moment of clarity for this collection with my design team at a place called Tango in Paris. It was just a good night out actually, and that dance hall with all of its styled up, dueting couples and slow routines, reminded me of a school dance. For me it also

Humor Chic

Witty, cheeky, brilliant, and VERY fashionable It's funny how the fashion flock can sometimes take themselves so seriously. Add some tongue-in-cheek insider observations and it's Humor Chic! Karl Lagerfeld and Vivienne Westwood aleXsandro Palombo (yes, the a is small, the X is a capital as is the P to represent the Latin symbols for Pax Christi) likes to think of himself as the father of fashion satire. He has just the right amount of wit and whimsy to poke a very manicured finger right back at the fashion industry and have them smile all the better for it with Humor Chic, the world's first Daily Society Portrait blog. Palombo is a global foot soldier (Prada or Dior Homme, I wonder)

Paris Fashion Week: Aganovich Spring / Summer 2010

London Meets Paris: The odd mannequins and use of sculpture surrounding them gave the showing of the collection another dimension somewhere in between art and fashion. The Aganovich Spring / Summer 2010 Collection was artfully shown at a contemporary gallery in the trendy Marais section of Paris. What I love about the collection is the thoughtfulness and intelligence that went into each garment. A mix of fabrics such as pique and linen, and linen and satin are so smart and wearable. Looking closely I could see how well tailored every piece was and how the draping flowed so seamlessly. The presentation using odd mannequins and use of sculpture surrounding them gave the showing of the collection another dimension somewhere in

The show was a cool mix of Star Wars meets goth with androgynous models whose faces were painted in pale gray and eyes lined in red. >> Read our complete runway reviews The Cher- like feather head dresses and the
