Madonna Directs a Miu Miu Video, Apparently, Sort of
Photo booth mega star... APPARENTLY, as legend has it, according to pagesdigital, Mert & Marcus were shooting the fall Miu Miu campaign when a friend dropped by. The friend happened to be Madonna who had some thoughts about the shoot. Backseat posing pointers then turned into an impromptu Madonna directed fall 2010 Miu Miu campaign video. There were even some Madonna-esque dance steps thrown in while the models preened around in a photobooth. The score is a remix of Boy George's "Generations of Love," which make us wonder if Madonna and Boy George patched up their nasty bit or the whole story is a hoax.... ...we just kinda like the fun of it all (clever masking those odd Miu Miu

All Hamptons… All Gossip… A Socialite and A Pink Birkin Bag
A lady's way to luxuty Brad Boles remains on the lose in The Hamptons spilling the bean$... and, yes, the overuse of the color pink can make me cringe, expect on Brad, of course. -- S.H. Action, Lights, No Camera... Polo in The Hamptons proved to be very interesting for me with the pink Birkin... ostrich of course. I know Sharon is probably upchucking the the thought of pink, but we both agree that the color can be chic on a MAN! I bumped into Tinsley Mortimer whom I haven't seen in a few months so I was very surprised to hear that she is not shooting any more for her reality shows We had a good laugh about what

Target Lights Up New York and Affordable Fashion in Spectacular Show
Target's Kaleidoscopic Fashion Spectacular at the Standard Hotel She's baaaack! yes, Alix Kivlin is back from her year long trip around the world and in full fashion gear... we'll get her to share her global tales one hemisphere at a time later, but for now, she's in a New York state of mind. -S.H. The fashion scene put a lit-up, psychedelic twist on the fashion show concept with Target's Kaleidoscopic Fashion Spectacular at the Standard Hotel. The ordinarily modern and sleek Standard Hotel turned into an LED disco ball with one entire side of the building being used as a light show flashing and flickering along to music pumping into the night. Models on stage Not only were the lights
What Courtney Wore Today, Yes As In LOVE
Rock Queen, Underrated Actor, Tabloid Fodder, and Personal Style Blogger... Yes, THAT Courtney Love! Personal Confession: I find myself flummoxed by many personal style blogs... I have an old school brain where my fashion focus is more about YOU than ME... most of my career spent behind the scenes to create a gorgeous end-product rather than being front and center in a model posing way. Without naming names in the gargantuan genre of personal style blogs, for me, some are absolutely over-rated, others embarrassing, most are mundane, many are sweet, and few simply stand out on their own merit. The personal style blogs that do it well, do very well. I'm also fascinated with this celebrity-obsessed culture where the swag
Cheap Monday is Really Cheap Chic- An Affordable Designer Brand To Wear
Affordable fashion Alert: Love the Spring 2011 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Stockholm & I'm wearing it now- so should you! Forget cheesy fast fashion, get designer style at an affordable price... Ironic, but true, as I'm reviewing runway photos from the Cheap Monday Spring 2011 collection that just showed at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Stockholm, I'm wearing a Cheap Monday T-shirt. Yes, I'm attempting to be on vacation and more casual, but even some of my more urban everyday outfits involve some Cheap Monday. I probably buy a handful of their things every season and they inadvertently become go-to pieces that I mix with much higher end designer pieces from Jil Sander, Maison Martin Margiela, Rick Owens (oh, I want
Agyness Deyn Works East Village Punk Mash-Up Style
Sneak Peak: The September "New York" issue of V Magazine features the supermodel looking very downtown I'm a downtown girl through and through... Self-expression rather than cloned perfection is more my thing. That's what I love most about living in New York's East Village. The neighborhood maintains its sense of edgy self-made style and uniqueness. Sure, punk stores on Saint Mark's Place have been replaced by yogurt shops and dissident rockers gave way to hip Japanese and NYU students, but there's no doubt that there will be something interesting, insane, or inspiring once you set foot onto the street. There remains a certain grit and vibe left over from the neighborhood's hardcore rock days of yore. The super-cool John Varvatos
Khloe is the Hottest Kardashian this week, Surfer Style Do’s and Fashion Don’ts from Brad Boles
HOT WEATHER, HOT MESSES, AND THE HOTTEST BODY Brad is still on the run in The Hamptons with gossip and style tips galore —S.H. Rubbing elbows in The Hamptons and reminiscing about uber glam... The Hiltons (as in Kathy and Rick) continue to enjoy the summer heat out East. I ran into them the other night enjoying a quiet dinner at Bobby Vans, so we had a few minutes to catch up. We had a good laugh about Paris Fashion Week and the wonderful dinner on a boat on the Seine we all enjoyed for Dior years ago. Ivana Trump (think Joanna Lumley as Patsy from the fabu TV show ABFAB) was seated with us at the dinner dressed in

Cat Fashion Show Has Some Odd Look-A-Likes
Cool Cat Award… Call me crazy, but this cat looks a lot like Rod Blagojevich If there were to be a line drawn in the sand, I'm a dog person. More specifically, a poodle person. I do get a kick out of a pet in a good costume, but usually four-legged get-ups involve dogs. Thank the good editors at Gothamist for covering one of the more festive cat fashion shows-- one so over-the-top that I may put allergies aside and get on the kitty catwalk. Hairstory repeats itself My favorite kitty couture is the cat who I cannot help but notice that it resembles Rod Blagojevich in this Washington Post photo. Come on, tell me you don't see it? >>
