Should You Lower Your Price? [Video]

What to do when someone tries to wheedle you down

Today we are going to talk about something that was recently asked by one of my clients (and happened to me as well), which is — should you lower your price?

What happens when someone asks for a discount?
Are they the right client or customer for you?

Watch to learn how to still offer value and not feel like you’re being taken advantage of.

When it comes to someone’s service or their ability, I think it’s very disrespectful to ask them to lower their price.

Conversely when people are asking for a discount and you feel compelled to offer them a cut rate price, you’re going to find that often they end up being a challenging client.

As opposed to people who are willing to acknowledge you, accept you, appreciate your expertise, your background and pay for it. Invest in themselves with what you have to offer.

Add Value, Rather Than Lower Your Price

Now you don’t have to turn away everyone if you don’t want to, you can have a value ladder in your business of different price points to meet people where they are at.

For example, you can offer a payment plan, offer an extra bonus, or you can say that if they pay in full you will offer them a discount.

So there are ways to go about this to help the person without diminishing your offer.

At The End Of The Day, Trust Your Gut.

If you get a feeling that a person is not the right fit as a potential client, because they are being a schnorrer and trying to nickel and dime you down on your pricing.

Know you’re worth and rather let them go.

As you turn a door away that doesn’t seem right, it will open another door, which is probably going to be better.

I believe that things happen for a reason, so don’t underestimate yourself or what you have to offer, because you never know what great opportunities lie around the corner!
