Starting A Brand New Business In Today’s Climate

We are going to talk a little bit today about what to do when you are trying to start a new business in these trying times.

I’ve bootstrapped ALL my businesses and projects… everything from creating a website, producing online courses… soup to nuts…

**…it was my personal investment in myself.**

Watch this video for my proven take on what you should always do before launching your next business or venture.

Do Your Research, It’s Worth It!

Even though I wasn’t born rich with money to burn (my mom was a very frugal Virgo)..

I was raised to know what I was getting into before I drowned in my own crazy whims.

Experience may be the greatest teacher, but so is a little front loading on understanding the lay of the land. 😉

If you want to start a new business that stands the test of time and has legs, do a little research.

Look to see what your competition is doing.

So many clients come to me and they get these genius ideas, but nobody else has done something similar, because nobody wants it right now.

If nobody wants it, you’re going to be stuck with a dud.

So see that other people are doing things that are similar.

Have a look at Google Trends (it’s Free) to get a feel for what people are consistently searching for right now.

Go on Google and look at different ways of doing things.

…look at different industries

….look at different things that people like in different industries..

…and look at how that can turn into a potential business for you.

Then Start Looking At The Deliverables.

How much will it cost you to deliver it that way?

Perhaps you are looking at starting a membership site.

There are a lot of loose pieces that make up a membership site.

This is a great example of knowing what you are getting into before getting started.

There are many ways to do this (I elaborate in my video).

I have some great training that can help with figuring out how to deliver, present and promote your business here

If you want a kickstart on the tools I use to actually “run” my business, check them out here.

How Do You Get Started…

Yes, the research phase does take time, but it’s absolutely worth the investment for the long game, to make sure what you start get’s traction.

Especially when you are looking at phasing out one thing, to start another.

This is where starting a side hustle could work for you, where you can slowly transition to it full time as it scales and grows.

So as you venture into starting a new business or project, do the ground work to find the current trends.

Find the best ways to deliver, that can be a little different to what everyone else is doing…

Start where you are. You don’t have to stop everything you are doing now to begin this new thing you want to start.

Try it as a side hustle to test the water and see if your idea has legs first.

I hope this helps… and if you need more help with using video to build your business (or start something new), head over to www.videoquickstarter.com and get your frameworks to help you get started.
