Thank you Karl Lagerfeld for inspiring me to want to spice up my hosiery drawer with lace tights again! Lace stockings have been looking "off" for a few years. Add just a few sartorial twists and they look so right again. Mostly due to the styling at the Chanel Paris In Rome Show at Cinnecitta Studios where the models wore mules along with lace tights. There are so many different types of pantyhose- sheer, demi sheer, nude, opaque, tights, lace, and the list goes on and on. Let's help this reader, and you, figure out what type of pantyhose to wear with what.  I have a draw full of black pantyhose- sheer, opaque, very opaque, and a few textured (hate them as I think they make my legs look fat). The thing, is that I never know what kind of pantyhose to wear with what kind of outfit.Is there any guide as to understand when it is better to wear sheer opaque over heavy tights? Shorts + Tights (as seen on the street) Not So Good… It designer Alexander Wang started the runway to real way trend of designer cut-off shorts worn in a neo- grunge, yet very glam way, and boy those denim shorts flew off the racks at the sample sale.
