Odd Molly- Spring 2011 Fashion Show for Sexy and Sweet Boudoir Femininity

Runway Review: The sexy and sweet boudoir look is so fun for spring, and especially in these soft champagne and rose colors Playing up the feminine side of dressing has been a key feature at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and the young line Odd Molly certainly wasn't going to take a backseat in that department. Odd Molly - Spring 2011 Fashion Show I will never look down on a girly line, but there is an extreme that Odd Molly hovers on and I feel these delicate, super feminine pieces are best worn pared down, in small doses. >> SHOP: Odd Molly at Farfetch Odd Molly - Spring 2011 Fashion Show Thin knits with shimmering gold were lovely compliments to the silk

Isaac Mizrahi- Spring 11 Fashion Show, Enough about Trends, Lets be Pretty

Runway Review: When looking pretty speaks volume Every once in a while we need to cleanse our palette of trends and unneccessary froufrou and get back down to what a woman really wants to be when she gets dressed. For most of us over the age of 20ish, it's simply to look pretty in a way without unneccessary artifice or pretention. Pretty doesn't mean boring or dated. It means that you are in control of your look and want ot look stunning for yourself in a timeless and ageless way in clothing that is designed with YOU the woman in mind. >> SEE ISAAC MIZRAHI FASHION SHOW PHOTOS- COMPLETE SPRING COLLECTION The Isaac Mizrahi spring 2011 collection called "IM Xerox"

Donna Karan- Spring 2011 Lighter, Softer and Very Beautiful

Runway Review: The "Raw Romance" Donna Karan collection, soft yet strong perfection. Most hair stylists will tell you that at a certain age we look better with softer edges and a lighter color. Well, Donna Karan is celebrating her 25th Anniversary in fashion this year and she has all but softened and lightened the look for Spring 2011. >> SEE DONNA KARAN FASHION SHOW PHOTOS- COMPLETE SPRING COLLECTION Once the almost shock of the all sand color palette passed, it was clear that the hallmarks of an urban wardrobe were still present, but this time the city looks were meant to travel to a more relaxed place and time. Edition by Georges Chakra NY Fashion Week- Spring 2011

Runway Review: What to wear when life is your red carpet I don't know about you, but I have certainly gotten tired of looking at overdone "Princess" fantasy dresses worn by celebrities on the red carpet. They are ostentatious dresses that often wear the wearer rather than spotlight her total beauty. I'm all for a bit of eccentricity and quirkiness, but when everyone wears the same quirky big number, it all looks the the same. For me, those over-the-top dresses look like a young girl's small town dream of what a "fancy" dress should be rather than an elegant ideal of what a real grown-up woman should wear when she has the opportunity to glam it up. >> Fashion Shows

Ports 1961- Spring 2011 Fashion Show Punches Up Color With Soft Neutrals

Runway Review: The highlight display of artfully draped garments was the palette of smooth, warm neutrals with shocking flashes of color The color palette was brimming with Spring Fever, and soft fabrics were in full flow at the Ports 1961 Spring 2011 show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Ports 1961 - Spring 2011 The highlight display was the palette of smooth, warm neutrals - charcoal, deep moss green, sandy beige and smokey grey, with shocking flashes of color - deep sea blue, bright purple and grass green. Ports 1961 - Spring 2011 Also a play of soft metallic in fabrication, sequin embellishments or jewelry. Everything had a warm shine to it, like the sun! Ports 1961 - Spring 2011 >> Fashion

Silvio Liu Spring 2011 NYFW Collection brims with sweet and feminine party dresses

Runway Review: Definitely a designer to watch emerge, as it's the first collection and with experience the collections will grow and develop. This tiny capsule of dresses with bursts of coral and watercolor florals is the first women's collection for Silvio Liu, showcased here at Merecedes-Benz Fashion Week. The spring cocktail dresses were chic silhouettes on their own, the light palette was refreshing, but I saw a few key details that didn't sit with the collection. Silvio Liu- Spring 2011 Collection >> Fashion Shows and Runway Reviews The fit and tailoring was perfect and created a flattering feminine look on all the dresses, but I wasn't too keen on the cropped boxy jackets that covered a few of them. Waists

Charlotte Ronson Fashion Show- Grunge for Girls on the Spring Runway

Runway Review: Grunge got girly and there are plenty of sweet florals under the slouchy hoodies and washed out plaid shirts Be prepared to pull out your beat up high school hoodie next Spring. Charlotte Ronson is taking things back to the casual, borderline grungy, utilitarian 1990's dress code with her most recent collection shown at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.e Charlotte Ronson- Spring 2011 Fashion Show This time around the grunge got girly and there are plenty of sweet florals under the slouchy hoodies and washed out plaid shirts. A fine bit of feminism and flower child compliments the super casual look. And for having so many oversize garments there was still a lot of skin showing! Charlotte Ronson- Spring

New York Fashion Week Blabber and Some Beauty Tips Too from Brad Boles

A tranny train wreck, a model incubator, what it's like at Lincoln Center, fashion challenged bloggers, a real life girl make-up advice, and the ever-present "French Chic Look" has hit the New York runways for spring 2011! NYFW Kvetch-A-Thon... Ok we need to talk! I want Bryant Park back! Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York at Lincoln Center looks like an efficient airport in a small town, armed with scanners and airport stanchions for miles. There's even a beauty station just in case you need to get a blow out in between shows. Think Lauren Arpel. There is a Starbucks with some bottled coffee-esque beverage and more twenty-something "fashion" bloggers in Aldo clogs with a Pippi Longstockings fixation than one needs

Daniel Vosovic- Up Close Backstage and Spring Fashion Show

Runway Review: Project Runway protege Daniel Vosovic rocks it out at his Spring 2011 fashion show Our photojournalist and design doll, Alix Kivlin is back from her year long trek around the world and is hitting the catwalks of New York. Here, she catches up with her old friend Daniel Vosovic backstage at his Spring / Summer fashion show. -- S.H. Confession: Daniel Vosovic is an old, dear friend of mine. But of of more relevance, a finalist and most loved contestant in season 2 of "Project Runway." Daniel has stomped his way on to the fashion scene successfully and on opening eve of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Daniel Vosovic presented his 3rd collection. And in my opinion his best.

A farewell to a big summer! A clambake, a game of chicken and a full disco party and season four of Bravo's hit show "The Real Housewives of New York City" Sunset clambake... There's not a chance you could get better then Labor Day in the Hamptons. The weekend started with a glorious sunset clambake at the divine ocean-front home of my very own Lauren Arpel and fifteen perfect summer friends. I was in a panic as to how to make a bonfire on the beach though. But, have no fear, I called my metrosexual friend Rob Seigel and sure enough you straight guys are good for something. He showed up with wood and his Boy Scout skills to light

Best of Resort Fashion- A Season Ahead, Just In Time

Resort runways are often a precursor to what's in store for Spring. Let's consider... A girl could lose her head. Or at least spin it around so many times that it will catapult her neck and land in a frisson of colliding fashion seasons that all ineditably fall into one: What looks right on YOU now! Spring is shown in late summer (at least by the scroching temps merely a week before NYFW). Fall in early winter. Then, there's resort... resort? You have yet to think about autumn leaves! In this insane goggle-muggle where fashion is shown in the time frame of when retailers need to place their orders for the following season and magazines need to pull for their

NY Fashion Week: Zac Posen fashion show review

ZAC POSEN | Runway Fall 2009 Collection-Mercedes Benz Fashion Week… This was the most stunning production I have laid eyes on all Fashion Week and in general, one of the most classically beautiful shows I have ever seen!!! The scene is this: dark runway with 5 grand pianos lined up down the center, spotlights shine on 5 women and men, dressed gowns straight out of Amadeus, as they walk to their pianos and begin to play, their own part, together as a whole, the lights slowly spread as the first model appears in a gown circa 1770… but in fact it is 2009. Immediately you are transported in time watching each piece come out - rich brocade fabrics and satins,
