Fuzzy Wuzzy, it’s time for new shearling boots

Frye 'Valerie' Bootie
Never say never. Truth be told, personally, I'm not much of a shearling boot / classic UGG fan. A few seasons ago, I stumbled upon a pair of Zadig & Voltaire gray shearling booties with the right amount of edge and back zipper slimness to avoid the generic girl at the mall feel. It was right after my foot surgery and I was still pretty swollen so the soft bootie was exactly what I needed or more important, what I could squeeze into at the time. I became addicted. No longer reserved for trotting back and forth to Pilates class, these "no sock needed" boots are more of my everyday work from home style than I would have ever dreamed

Do you want the perfect way to dress up jeans? Try classic plaid!

I'll Have What She's Having: Cozy and casual chic plaid that's the perfect way to dress up  jeans Sometimes dressing up is really a spin on what could be dressing down. Truth be told, I love plaid. Especially red plaid. Always have. My vintage Geoffrey Beene red plaid coat may come out of retirement soon. For me, plaid runs the gambit from my collection of cowgirl chic western shirts to classic American sportswear iterations, like my Geoffrey Beene vintage red plaid coat, pictured left, that I may just pull out and wear again. Aside from its classic heritage, plaid is VERY much on trend this season.  What it does best is dress up your jeans in a snap. Just look at the

Le Classic White Shirt: C’est French chic street style that you can wear from Paris Fashion Week

French Chic white shirts
French Chic white shirts I'll Have What She's Having:  A classic French Chic white shirt that's just a touch special I'd like to think of this as a palette cleanse from all the too-too of Fashion Week. Something so simple, so easy, that you may even have in your closet. I just love the simplicity of her look. The rolled sleeves, crimson lips, undone hair, and THOSE pants! So effortlessly chic. You can dress IT up, wear it to tone down something very bold, make it girly yet chic, or wear it with tuxedo flourish to a modern pantsuit. But, don't think that this kind of off-handed style is NOT strategic. The effortlessness of this very laid back classic style
