Sarah Jessica Parker style details…

Fifties glamour is no simple affair Ok, the fluffy pink brocade cocktail dress is hard to miss. Most would let a dress this big stand on its own and abide by the K.I.S.S. rule (keep, it simple, sweetie) of removing one accessory before leaving the house. But not our girl SJP. Sarah Jessica Parker knows how to pile on the glitz in style. Let's examine… .Turquoise eye shadow .Rich, dark tan .Pale pink mouth .Pretty ponytail .Large pearl button earrings .Jumbo turquoise beads .Dainty aurora borealis necklace .Pale blue reptile clutch with jeweled closure .Massive gotrocks bracelet .Ditto on the gotrocks cocktail ring A look this luxe is not exactly a DIY fashion primer to try yourself at home. How to look older… Afraid people mistake her for a kid

Help! I look young for my age. I look like I'm 19 but I'm 29 and I want to be taken seriously. People think I'm still a student, but I'm a certified music teacher and have a few years of teaching experience. I've also been married for a few years. I'm currently out of a job and looking for a new one. I think my youthful looks may make me appear inexperienced. I am a little petite, have very fair skin, dark blond hair, baby like facial features, very small hands with short fingers, and I'm thin. To top it off, I come off energetic, and outgoing-- a youthful trait. I need some serious help. I don't even wear trendy

The gleam goes on?

Low maintenance tricks to maintain white teeth Perhaps it's time for a teeth whitening touch-up. Although an hour in the dentist office whitening chair isn't much to spare, the thought of dealing with the 24-hour kibosh on caffeine and other stain producing substances keeps us jonesing for an iced trippio, presto. That's why, maintenance rocks! Hey, who needs glow in the dark choppers anyway? We simply demand some fresh, smile-boosting pearly white teeth that are one of the best anti-aging tricks around. Since we talk too much to keep our teeth resting in a home bleaching tray for any amount of time, we've come up with a few ways to get teeth movie star white and be fairly low maintenance

Too long hair, too dated a style… Freshen up to modernity and lose the bad hair blues

Too long hair, too dated a style… Freshen up to modernity and lose the bad hair blues.  My sister has finally agreed to cut her hair!!! She is 42 years old and is in need of a style makeover. I would like to focus on her biggest issue: her hair. She is a natural blond with stick straight hair down to her waist and bangs that are commonly worn curled under and teased. She has worn this style for well over 15 years and has refused to cut it because she thinks that "guys love it". Anyway, after many people telling her it's out of style, she's given into getting it cut BUT refuses to go any shorter than the

Fit the Room with Perfume?

Fragrance delivered to your environment Gasp, wheeze, itch, and run. Not pleasant, eh? That's the deal when you become olfactory meshed to the dweeb marinated in perfume. Here's a head's up to fragrance future, perfect for those who impale our senses with too much of their good thing. Imagine wearing a little patch which acts like your own personal fragrance butler and doles out the most suitable amount of scent based on body conditions. Pretty nifty. SNIF™ by PDD, the product innovation partner has three scent reservoirs which blend in direct response to the user's skin. The amount of scent then produced responds to the space you are in: a little spritz in an elevator, a bigger blast for the

Open Toe Shoes… Wear what before Memorial Day!

Open Toe Shoes… Wear what before Memorial Day! A girl at work said it is inappropriate to wear open toe shoes before Memorial Day. Is this true? We live in Nashville where the weather is hot way before Memorial Day. I always went with Easter as the appropriate time period, since the weather is usually great from that point until Labor Day or longer.(Franklin, TN) That is the dumbiest think that I've heard all day! Your friend needs to relax and look at a fashion magazine or two. Open toe shoes are worn all year round- they are quite stylish! If it's hot, dress for the weather. Common sense is the only rule to abide by. The whole notion of

Protect your privacy and right to choose. March for Women's Lives, April 25 in Washington, DC to uphold choice, justice, access, health, abortion, global and family planning. Message tees are hot right now, but motherhood lasts a lifetime. Wear the words that make a difference: .This is what a feminist looks like .Stand up for choice

Male Makeover, Not… Offended by disgusting appearance of co-worker

I am slated to open an office in a prestigious location with a co-worker coming up in September. I have long had issues with his grooming, yet he seems completely unaware and when I drop slight and, at times, bold hints--he thinks it's a joke. I don't want to make you sick, but it's everything! This guy is going to meetings with the public and I am HORRIFIED. He is a walking dork: the same haircut with all the same cowlicks from when he was 5, long hair (with attachments) coming from his nose and ears, clothes that do not fit (pants too short and too old), chapped lips and hands, and spittle always at the corner of his lips.

Gloss over?

The lip shtick that sticks  A little lip gloss goes a long way- that's exactly why we're a trifle shy to get divine with some extra shine: • There's that goopy feeling that makes one wonder if their lips aren't being beamed up as some alien suction device. • The glop residue catches to our front teeth at the most inopportune times- like in the midst of a good flirt. • One sip of a beverage and the glass looks like a forensic dream come true. • A brisk breeze cleverly affixes our hair to our kisser and until we head downwind for some mercy to unhinge ourselves. • There's the fear that too much lip shine would give us

Beat Visible Pantylines… Tips for smooth moves

Beat Visible Pantylines… Tips for smooth moves Every time I wear any trousers or tight skirts, the lines of my panties can be seen. It looks terrible. Have you any suggestions? If I wore a thong or g-string would that help? I am a bit reluctant to wear thongs as I might be a bit old for that (I'm 40+) but I'm open to advice.(Dublin, Ireland) While wearing a well-fitting thong or g-string would certainly produce a smoother rear view, it only works if your rear is smooth to begin with. It's not about age, but more about skin-tone when you are wearing skimpy undies. You sound less than confident about having a late start to wearing thongs, so let's
